Join us for Celebrate Recovery

When we get caught up in our compulsive behavior we begin serving ourselves instead of serving our Lord. The tools of Celebrate Recovery can help us stay focused on our relationship to Jesus Christ as we find healing of hurts and co-dependency.

Come join us for Great Worship! All are welcome. Great Opportunity to serve Christ, others and find some healing in our Hurts, Habits and Hang-ups!

“Hi, my name is Jenni. I am a grateful believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ. I am working on anger/resentment and unforgiveness.” The entire room responses “Hi, Jenni!” This is an example of an introduction during a typical Tuesday night meeting of Celebrate Recovery at FBC. My identity is not in my struggles with anger and unforgiveness. My identity is in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is through Him that I seek release from the chains of my sins, past and present.

I first attended CR with a loved one, just to be support for him. I thought that he had the problem; not me! I was not “one of those people”. The first meeting opened my eyes that every single person has a hurt, habit or hang up of some sort. At CR, for the first time, it was okay for me not to be “okay”.I often tell people that CR is the safest place to be on a Tuesday night because everyone is free to take off his or her mask and be REAL! And that is what I have done for the last 3 years. I am a real person with real problems. I can smile thought all of my trials because I serve a real Lord who is with me every step pf the way.

I want to encourage anyone who has a hurt, habit or hang up to give Celebrate Recovery a try. It has changed my life and it an changes yours too. We often end our small groups with this chant: “Keep coming back. It works if you work. It won't if you don't. So work it cause your worth it!”
