Last year contained some unexpected change for us as we initially taught through the Bible in 120 days, coached leaders in three countries (Australia, Papua New Guinea and Nepal), and administrated the BSN (Bible School for the Nations) and ministry of BELT (Biblical Education & Leadership Training). We then shifted gears and returned to America for an unusual hiccup due to Mark’s green card complications.

2010 is becoming quite a significant year. The BSN continues to multiply with five schools running this year each in different countries on three continents, and new launches are already being planned for 2011. With eight BELT teams ministering in seven countries this last year (including four new people groups), many lives, families and churches have been impacted for the honor of Jesus. A recent BELT update from our contact in Kyrgyzstan writes: “Locals have been transformed and equipped with the result that they are evangelizing and discipling their own people. Villages are requesting that BELT courses come to their villages and there is now a local team that is providing this training.” We are excited about the continued multiplication of God’s Word in people’s hearts and communities.

With a competent team running with the BELT/BSN vision, we are seeing some new works launched.

• BELT office established in Madison, Wisconsin, USA for the Americas in 2009
• BSN-BELT Pacific beginning in May 2010 (New Zealand, Fiji)
• BSN-BELT Asia launching at the end of 2010 (Nepal)
• Impact 28 recruiting push begun in Jan 2010. (Impact 28 is a joint venture between BELT and Wycliffe Australia. Based on Mat 28:18-20, it is a 28 month field placement involving discipleship and Bible training in remote people groups, primarily Wycliffe locations.)
